No cake for you!!
Over the past 3 months Connor has had two allergic reactions that made him break out in a rash and hives, one being his birthday party. At his 1 year Dr. appointment I mentioned them to the Doctor and he thought it would be a good idea to see an allergist. So yesterday was our appt. with an allergist at Children's Hospital, Connor did very well considering we were there for almost 2 hours! Grandma Milewski came along to help:) They did a scratch test on him and within 20 minutes we could see exactly what he is allergic to. And the winner is...............EGGS!! Yup, Connor is severly allergic to eggs to the point where we have to carry an EpiPen just in case Connor would ever have an episode of Anaphylaxis. Here I thought it was hard finding things that he would eat normally, now it's going to be a 100x harder!!
We had another shocker... I thought for sure that he was allergic to dogs just due to his first allergic reaction (we love you Barkley!) but no, it was CATS!! The Dr. thinks it would be a good idea if we got rid of our cats. Yeah easier said then done... of course Connor is our first priority but Harley and Daisy are a part of our family too. We haven't decided what to do about that yet and will hold off for now to concentrate on the more severe allergy.

He's gettin there.....
Just within the past few days Connor is taking more and more steps on his own. It is just so awesome to watch him walk.....as well as a little hilarious because he looks like a drunken sailor! Here is some video we took of him last night showing off his moves.

The Great Pumpkin

Sunday we went on a pumpkin hunt. Chris wanted to go to a place down the street from our neighborhood but I said no, let's go to this apple/pumpkin farm where you can pick your own. Well we get there and ask someone how this works and where we should go to find our pumpkins. Well the lady tells us that because of the frost they had to go out and pick all of the pumpkins?!? seriously? Ok well where are the pumpkins to choose from? The only ones that we could find were part of the "freak series" pumpkins. Some were white instead of orange, some had warts and others called Cinderella pumpkins looked as if a 500lb person sat on it and squished it. I just wanted a few normal orange pumpkins.....so we get in the car and leave. Chris asks where to now, I said how about the place right by our house? hehehe
Thank you honey for suggesting this place. I am so glad we went there. They had a huge selection and CHEAP! We got 4 pumpkins (1 was free) for $13.00! Chris' pumpkin has to weigh at least 25lbs, it's huge. You can see it in the 1st picture.

Swingin' like a monkey
Connor and Daddy warming up after the waterpark
Peek-a-boo
Leapfrog anyone? We went up to the Dells and stayed at The Wilderness Resort. That place is absolutely amazing. Chris and I stayed there once before about 4 years ago and so much has changed since then. My parents, sister, bro-n-law and Connor's cousins came too. We all had so much fun!! Connor really enjoyed splashing in the water. We are already starting to think about when we can go back!

Photo Shoot
A few weeks ago, we had a friend of ours take some pictures of Connor for his 1 year and then some family ones as well. The pictures turned out awesome considering the day we had these taken it was probably 60 degrees and very windy, plus we were right by the lake!! Here are some of my favorites:

Mr. Molar

Dear Mr. Molar:
I noticed that you and 3 of your buddies are impatiently trying to get through Connor's mouth. Don't you know that this makes him a very cranky little boy?!?! Wasn't it enough that he had all 4 upper front teeth in at once when he was 8 months old? Give the kid a break!!
Thank you for your time!
